Vighter is please to announce support for the upcoming 10th Annual Independence Ride in Wallis, TX. This event is a bicycling ride honoring our nation’s severely injured heroes. CEO Dr. Jeffrey Lee, himself a disabled veteran of the US Army, will ride in the event alongside 150 other disabled veterans, caregivers, and over 1000 able-bodied local riders. Additionally Vighter will position medical staff at First Aid stations along the four Independence Ride routes. Riders are able to choose routes with distances of 12, 23, 42 and 63 miles.
Registration on the day of the ride begins at 6:30am. Opening ceremonies begin at 8:00am. Come early as the veterans look forward to the warm reception they always receive from the citizens of Wallis, the Schlumberger Cycling Club and all the cyclists who come and join them for this special ride. Following the ride, join the veterans for a BBQ Chicken lunch and enjoy the music entertainment.
All proceeds remaining after event expenditures will be applied towards the Independence Fund’s mission of moving our nation’s wounded heroes toward greater independence.
